MINISTRY OF THORNS

In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:27

Taken from Streams in the Desert:

"God wants us to be 'more than conquerors', turning storm clouds into chariots of victory. It is obvious when an army becomes 'more than conquerors', for it drives its enemies from the battlefield and confiscates their food and supplies. This is exactly what this Scripture passage means. There are spoils to be taken. Being more than (a) conqueror means taking the spoils from the enemy and appropriating them for yourself. What your enemy had planned to use for your defeat, you can confiscate for your own use."

Dr. Moon from Brighton England was suddenly struck with blindness. He said, "Lord, I accept this 'talent' of blindness from You. Help me to use it for Your glory so that when You have returned, You may receive it 'back with interest' (Matthew 25:27) Dr. Moon, with God's help, invented the Moon Alphabet for the blind, which thousands of blind people were enabled to read the Word of God, receiving glorious saving knowledge of Christ Jesus.

When the Apostle Paul asked God three times to remove his 'thorn in the flesh (2 Corinthians 12:7), the Lord did something better. He conquerered it and made it Paul's servant. The ministry of thorns has often become a greater ministry to humankind than the ministry of thrones.

What are your thorns? I'm not talking about the ones that you think may be popping out of your own head, or those closes to you! lol

I've had ALOT of thorns in my life. So many that I couldn't even find the sweet smelling fragrance of the rose that was WAY up on top of the stem.

God has given me 'new eyes' to see these thorns as 'stepping stones' to reach that beautiful rose instead of blocking my path to get there.

Thy Kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven.

amen amen amen

Amen! Your thorns will bring Him glory. I'm not sure yet what my thorns are...probably just my prickly self. I am the thorn. Lord help me to use my imperfections and sinful self to glorify thee.
