I love RED!
By the blood of the Lamb and through the word of their testimony, they have overcome the evil one. Revelations 12:11A girlfriend of mine (former drinking and drug buddy actually, but now sister in the Lord!!) and one of the ladies that joins my Monday night Bible Studies gave me this outfit on Thursday when we had a night of fellowship at my place.
At first when she showed it to me, I was:
"No, I don't think so. It won't look nice on me." (ya ya,,I know REAL classy!!) Give it to someone else."
than I continue on:
"Oh it has pleats in the pants. They make me look really fat. I never wear pleats."
Just because I may 'look' like I have class, doesn't mean I act like it..BLUSH BLUSH!!
I'll go even further...
There were four of us sitting on the deck around the table. We try to get together for the summer months, every other week. So picture all these very lovely Christian ladies, with their Bible Study leader....
Did I mention I had my night gown on, with my flowered old lady (which I adore) housecoat, AND rollers in the back of my head so I could have 'bum it' hair style for the next day?
Oh ya,,that's me!! The one and only...(I get all ready for bed time before they come because by the time they leave, I'm too tired....they too have come in their pj's and housecoats on during the Fall and Winter months.Now that it is light outside, they don't want to be seen wearing their pj's out in public I guess)..that didn't stop me though...
It started off with me greeting all the ladies IN THE FRONT of the house. Yepper, me sitting ever so classy in my beautiful red Adirondack chair that hubby made me, in my finery clothing and rollers for the 'bum it' look! Puffing on a disgusting sinful cigarette to boot! (need prayers please for quitting).
Alysha's (Asher's girlfriend) mom came by to pick up the kids. Her boyfriend was in the car also.
"You ready for bed?" she yells out the window.
"No."
I know she is thinking, 'why are you sitting outside with your pj's on and rollers in your hair, AND smoking."
She has quit now for five months...I'm so proud of her!
"I just invited ladies to come over for a bit."
LOL LOL
Well back to Sheila giving me this outfit.
"Just try the thing on."
So I put the jacket on top of my pj nightgown and flowery old lady housecoat.
"Oh, it looks really nice."
everyone else ohhs and yaa's..
They all convince me to just give it a try with the pants (of course at a later time,LOL) and if it doesn't work, I pass it along to someone else.
So this morning, off I strut to Mass like a Canadian Flag!
That is what Shaneah said I looked like..

As for the smoking, I definitely will be praying for you. I smoked for many years and am now going on one year and 9 months nicotine-free! Praise God. I know how difficult it is and also know it can't be done without His help!
First of all, I love the new hairdo. It is so complimentary to your facial structure. Second, the red suit looked great on you. Thirdly, when I quit smoking COLD TURKEY I might add, I asked God if I had to crave cigarettes, then let me crave them in the middle of the night when I could not possibly run to the store to buy them. He did. I didn't. And I have been free from nicotine for over 26yrs now. You can do it!
