"The fire and the wood are here," Issac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Genesis 22:7c
Sorry for a long post today.Lot on my heart.
The other day we were driving along and I was thinkin. Well it was more a vision came to my mind.
A vision of an altar. Like the one that Abraham made.
In the vision I felt the Lord saying to me:
"Are you willing to climb up there Angela?"
hmmmmmmmmmmm...grunt.
"Are you willing to lay yourself on that altar Angela?"
Father, I'm going to die.
"Are you willing to lay down your life Angela?"
In my minds eye I pictured myself standing before that Altar, and getting up there and laying down. All the while knowing what would take place.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Romans 12:1
I never imagined when my husband lost his job in September 2008 we would be here right now 10 months later. I thought within a few weeks, a month tops, he would be back to work.
I never imagined back than I would find myself at a place where daycare enrollment is at the lowest it has ever been in all my years being a daycare provider.
I never imagined that our bank account would be in the red. A first for us.
I never imagined back than the battles that my family and I would face with health issues, loss of a loved one, and this journey in the darkness.
so I have been allotted months of futility, and nights of misery have been assigned to me. When I lie down I think, "How long before I get up?" The night drags on, and I toss till dawn. Job 7:3-4
Like Job ,I can say,the months drag.
Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the Name of the Lord and rely on his God. Isaiah 50:10
I have heard of Thee by the hearing of the ear; but now mine eye sees Thee...Job 42:5 NAS
"Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;" Job 13:15, (NIV)
Yes, like Job, I have heard of God by reading His Word. Also like Job, I can honestly say I have SEEN God through these 10 months of darkness we have walked.
The other day I was crying out to God our Father, "though You slay me Father, yet will I hope in You."
No matter what our lives may look like in the earthly realm I KNOW my Redeemer lives.
What has become a mess in our lives has become God's message of power and glory revealed.
Today in my email I found this:

Reflections Of Me Aimee made this for me. God KNEW I desired to have a button for my blog. He knew financially I could not afford to get one, nor the computer savvy to make one.
When I saw what Aimee made for FSH, when I saw the cross and Free Spirit Haven written on it, "I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me. This life I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loves me and who died for me" Galatians 2:20 came to my mind.
I thought how perfect for FSH to have a cross. For not only is blog all about Christ, my life is. He must increase, I must decrease. John 3:30.
Beloved one, you. The one that the Lord has led here today. The one that is hurting. The one that is bowed down from heavy burdens and cares. The one that has been crying. The one that is in anguish.
This is for you.
Father God, Your children are hurting. They are afraid. They are so weak. They are broken. Mind, body and soul. We have no one Father. We have no one but You. I KNOW this is enough, MORE than enough. Father, come. Come in the midst of the hurt, the fear, the weakness and brokennes and let Your light shine. Pour out Your anointing upon us and let us radiate the face of Christ Jesus upon our lives. Do for us more than we could ask or imagine. Dispel our fears and place upon us Your armor, clothe us Father God with the battle requirements stated in Ephesians 6, belt of truth buckled, breastplate of righteousness, feet fitted, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. Help us Father to fight our battles with strength and courage. Rise up Holy Spirit within us and carry us forth with a mighty war cry! In Jesus Christ's Name I pray.
Thy Kingdom come Father God on earth as it is in Heaven.
amen amen amen

That's a great prayer...thank you so much. That question in your subject came when I was hearing bad news and it just asked straight up -- "Will you trust God?"
I will.
I will.
It's so hard, but I will.
There is no other hope and my God is able!
I am agreeing with this prayer today! Amen!
You show remarkable faith during the hard times. Keep trusting!
Aww Ang, How I hurt for you. I know exactly what you're going through! Have faith sis! Have faith, he hears you. I promise. Back in Dec of 07 when my husband lost his job, our health insurance, and our bank account went into the red, I thought all was hopeless. He's brought us closer, (sometimes TOO CLOSE) LOL.
Your trusting onto the LORD keeps me grounded too. I LOVE YOU ANG!
Keep your head up.. like you are!
LOVE YOU
Thank you so much for your caring and uplifting comment on my blog. You don't even know me, but you spoke into my life. God bless you Angela.
Angela,
Your faith in the Lord moves me.
Your friendship blesses my life.
Continue to give God the glory and He will continue to show you the way.
His way is the only way and you are on the right path.
Trust the Lord.
(I have been where you are and I am speaking from what I know to be true. The Lord will always provide!)
Blessings,
Debi
