ARE YOU EVER SATISFIED WITH FOOD?

Photobucket

Open your mouth and taste, open your eyes and see - how good God is. Blessed are you who run to Him. Psalm 34:8 The Message

We have heard of people saying about how good home cookin is! Especially those that travel a lot and have to eat out at restaurants.

Since I've started walking this life style change, I find my desire for junk food decreasing. I'm hungering more for healthier choices.

A handful of grapes sure tastes more divine than those ju jubes that I craved.

Potatoe chips no longer have a hold on me, they no longer call out to me.

I would rather have popcorn or pretzels. I CAN'T believe I enjoy pretzels. I considered them the most boring 'junk' food to run too. They are much healthier than potatoe chips that is for sure!

I also find myself desiring to cook more instead of ordering out food. My husband being off of work for a year helped kick that habit in the butt real quick but now that he is working, I find that making a meal is more appealing AND quicker than ordering out food. Plus the money we are saving!

I have been opening my mouth and tasting. Opening my mouth and speaking God's Word and finding it wonderfully tasty. I find as I have been praying that Christ would increase and I decrease, when I open my mouth and taste food now, I'm satisfied with what I eat. I no longer struggle with more more more mentality. I don't have that sense of 'emptiness' that I had after I ate a full course meal.

I'm satisfied. I'm nourished. My eyes have been opened and I see God's goodness.

I was blind for most of my life when it came to my outlook on food.

hmmmmm..the Truth does set you free and I'm free indeed. Oh how sweet it is!God's ways are perfect! He truly IS more than enough.

I really, really, really have GOT TO commit to eating healthier.
You're so right. Once you do, your cravings for junk subside.

Me too!! Praise the Lord. Girl, it's almost eerie how we think alike and have conversations that you've written about on this blog.
