So here is my take on the trim to the shelving. This secretarial is in my hallway upstairs. I had taped the gingham material for awhile and just finished hot gluing it on about a month ago. The paper on the back is scrapbook paper. That was just taped on the back.

I ended up getting this beautiful piece for free from my Aunt. I had it in my laundry room for years. I'm so glad I had hubby and I drag it upstairs to the dining room. I love the look. I placed gingham shelving paper inside and on the top too. You can click onto the picture to enlarge it.

I bought the little lights at a hard ware store for 13.99 for three. Later I found them at the Buck Store...so I bought three of them and placed them in the secretarial! Once again, I put scrapbook paper on the back of this china cabinet. My mother gave me her dining room set when she moved from her large house to a smaller one.
I lined the glass shelving with that gingham shelf paper. It actually has a rubber feel to it. I love it! I have placed it EVERYWHERE in my house. Overkill but I'm diggin it.LOL. Remember, the kitchen cupboards? I hot glued the shelf paper to the doors for a country farm look.

All these ideas here were found in blog land~! I find so much inspiration and encouragement when I visit blogs. Thanks for helping me make my house a home!

Been wanting to so something to my china cabinet. Painting it would be ideal, but I just don't have the oomph to tackle it. There is nothing wrong with the wood, but I just wanted to change it. Like the paper in the background, and I like lacy edges. Hmmmmm
Nice job on your things, Angela

I know you had fun mimicking the pictures. I've never thought of doing that. Duh! I should find something I like and copy it. Duh -- again!

It all looks so nice, I have a china cupboard from my mom also.

This week I painted some trim on it black, it's french provential furniture style. Then sponge painted bloches of grayish white on it, and it looks really good for something different.

I love to decorate, and make things look nice, happy and homey. I love it :)

By the way, your decorations look so nice in your china cabinet. Love all your angels too!

Hugs to you, you are a blessing!
Thanks for sharing your pictures!
