You are those who have continued with Me in My trials. Luke 22:28
From My Utmost for His Highest:
Watch when God changes your circumstances to see whether you are going on with Jesus, or siding with the world, the flesh, and the devil. We wear His name, but are we going on with Him?
It is God who engineers our circumstances, and whatever they may be we must see that we face them while continually abiding with Him in His temptations. They are HIS temptations, not temptations to us, but temptations to the life of the Son of God in us. Jesus Christ's honor is at stake in our bodily lives. Are we remaining faithful to the Son of God in everything that attacks His life in us?
So yahoo, Randy has a job!
Praise God Randy has a weekly pay cheque coming in.
"Have you forgotten how it was when Randy was working Angela?" Satan barks.
"You know. "
"Murmuring and complaining."
"Griping about every ache and pain."
Images of the 'old ways' started to come to my mind.
Words started to come from Randy's mouth confirming the 'old ways'.
Angela, haven't you learned anything?
You do not look at the things that are seen, for they are temporary.
Are you going to look at your husband or are you going to look to Me?
"Yes Father. I'm looking to You. Help me not forget everything You taught me this year. Help me not walk in the former ways."
Some of us pray for something, we pray for a very long time. We NEED this prayer to be answered. It NEEDS to be answered.
Than it happens.
Our prayers are answered.
awww, sweet bliss.
Than reality hits!
The answer to prayer is wonderful.
Now we have to walk it out.
A whole new set of circumstances start to reveal themselves to you.
One incident happened a few weeks back.
Randy gets his gas paid for the truck by the company.
Well I'm praising God here.
Yahooo.
Thank You Sweet Jesus.
Now instead of giving Randy 120 dollars a week for gas and his spending money, I'm thinking I will cut it in half. He doesn't need 120 dollars a week. What the heck does he need that much money anyway? Right. Come on ladies, you CAN so relate to this. Men, don't bother telling me your opinion, thank you very much!
Well Randy sees the envelope of money in my hand and he starts waving his hands around, flapping it around like he is saying ' give me give me'.
"Your not getting the full amount". With just a smidgin of attitude in my voice.
"Yes I am". With a BIGGER tone of attitude.
WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT my flesh screams.
Oh my goodness, I can feel the anger rising within me REALLY fast. I'm starting to boil over.
Shut your mouth.
That is the Holy Spirit telling me. He can't tell me "Oh Angela, be gentle and quite."
The Holy Spirit pretty much has to tell me to shut my mouth, almost like slapping a person in the face who is totally out of control to calm them down. That is what 'shout your mouth' does to me (of course ONLY when the Holy Spirit does it. Different story when hubby tells me to do so,lol)
I get off the computer and walk to the diningroom.
Need to walk off this rage that is CONSUMING every part of my being.
"Shove all that money up his butt and tell him he can deal with the finances now."
"Throw that money in his face and tell him HERE." Satan screams at me.
Forget the 120 dollars, just give him the entire amount is what I was meditating upon.
"Do you remember? Do you remember the garbage you had to put up with? It's starting. Nothing has changed. Tell him to get the hell out of the house. You don't need to put up with this."
Angela, is it worth 60 dollars?
That is what the Holy Spirit speaks to my heart.
I'm mentally exhausted and go to bed, like 8 pm.
I had to go to bed because I was having a difficult time keeping my mouth closed.
First thing the next morning after greeting our Father, Son and Holy Spirit with a Good Morning to them, I hear the Holy Spirit say, is it worth 60 dollars. In the eternal perspective, is it worth it Angela?
No, it isn't.
Downstairs I go to read my devotionals.
He who is slow to anger has great understand. Proverbs 14:29
Angela, when you are slow to anger, you are able to receive wisdom and understanding.
"Your right Father."
I finish my devotionals and head upstairs to get ready for Yard Saling.
Give him the money.
"Ok Lord."
Do NOT throw the money on his bed stand either Angela
Our Father KNOWS me so well.
Lay it down gently.
I get the 120 dollars and place it on Randy's Bible. He will see it there when he wakes up.
You know, your day will be different now. If you gave what you wanted, not only would this battle have carried on between you and Randy, it would have spilled all over your household, effecting everything and everyone in it's vicinity.
"Your right Father."
When I got back from Yard Saling, Randy greeted me with a warm hello. Our day continued on with blessings from God Almighty.
Strife: a difference of opinion that leads to anger.
Strife would have killed, destroyed and stolen from my family and I. That is what strife does.
Love conqueors all!
As for the extra money that Randy is getting, he is saving it. My husband actually is an amazing saver. I don't know what he is saving it for. He won't tell me. I'm not stressing about that either. For love believes the best!
Thy kingdom come Father God on earth as it is in heaven.
More lessons learned coming.

Yes, love conquers all!!! It's amazing what God can do through us when we surrender our will. You are an incredible inspiration to me Sister. I love you mucho!!!
Excellent lesson Angela.
Such a wonderful lesson sis.
I loved reading this, you are a blessing. God is blessing you all. Praise God for Randy working.
Godbless!
You did the right thing. This was an excellent example for all of us.
Blessings.
Raw and beautiful post, Angela. Love your honesty. I too would've had control issues with seemingly wastefully giving him the extra $60 when there was so much struggle financially to begin.
