YARD SALE HAUL, Septemberv 26th

Ok, I have to share the story about the orange basket. We go to this one yard sale and I find this orange basket. It was marked 80 cents. I pick it up and stare at it. The lady says, 10 cents. Awesome, it's mine!!

I than find this adorable hurricane electric lamp. Five dollars. I ask if they have a light bulb so I can test to see if it works. Well they do and we head to the front door of this very expensive house. The girl plugs it in but it doesn't work. The other lady (owner of the house) comes rambling over and stating, "it's on a timer, don't turn the timer on. I'm NOT letting anyone in my house." I don't think I suggested I wanted to go in her house? There were two men at the yard sale. One was in a wheel chair. I believe he is suffering from a stroke, or other illness because his eyes were vacant like. I believe this man was the owner of the house. The other man was the husband of the woman who was trying to plug in the light.

So back to the story here..The man says, " I believe you will have a plug in your garage"..I'm thinking..'ah, yaaaaaaaaaaa'. So the lady owner grabs the light out of the woman's hand (she is totally stressed now because she is NOT having anyone in her house). Well she drops the lamp. I gather it was already broken and glued together (from what I could see). So the other lady looks at me and says, 'bye bye'..in a snotty voice.

I walk away from the house with the ladies and the owner is still going off about not letting anyone in her house. "I never said I wanted to go in your house, but I am not going to buy a lamp if it doesn't work".

I proceed to pay the man the 10 cents and get in the van. The other lady stares me down as I leave. I think the 10 cent price she gave me was for the little tiny item that was in the orange basket (brand new with price tag still on it for 5.99) and she realized I was walking away with this for 10 cents.

So I tell Diane what the lady says. She asks, 'did you tell her off. I would have said blip blip.' I say, 'bring me back and I will.'. Than we start laughing away like idiots.

We proceed to say that the new word for the next few weeks will be 'bye bye'. Throughout the rest of the day that is all I kept saying when we got to the van and were leaving a yard sale. LOL.

I tell ya people, SOMEONE has GOT to get us on TV..Yard Sale Divas will DEFINITELY be a hit..LOL LOL...I'm just wondering if people will be able to understand the dialogue though in between all the blipped out parts...blush blush.
