Well I don't know how true that is, but I do know people I have known for years have been walking by me, not even saying hello. When it first started to happen, I thought they were ignoring me. I realize now that they just didn't recognize me. The last time they saw me I looked like this
And now I look like this
It's been a slow process. One that started February 25, 2007. Coming up to almost three years now.
I remember when I first started the journey of weight release. Just the though of all the weight I had to lose made me just want something quick. Lost is fast!

Get me one of these to suck in all the fat!

Had something similar to this one above. Took me like 15 minutes to just get it on! What a work out, let me tell ya! I thought for sure I would lose some weight just putting it on~!

Thank God I didn't live in this time where they advertised this! Could you imagine? Let's be honest here, some of us would have tried it! I've tried pretty much everything that has been offered to lose weight.

Especially stuff that states EXTREMELY fast!! Yahooo...the faster the better was my motto back than.

And how many of us have said,,'oh if there was a perfect pill to take the weight off'. Oh ya,been there, said that.
I truly believe that you did not gain the weight over night, your not going to lose it over night. You didn't gain the weight fast, you DON'T want to lose it fast. Lose it too fast, not only will you gain the weight back, you will gain another 10 or more pounds to boot on top!
Now a days we want everything fast and quick.
Anything that is worth having takes work. Takes time.
I finally got to a place where I am enjoying this journey of weight release.
I know this is a lifestyle. Not a diet.
I know that this is my life now. Eating healthy, exercising, moderation in all things.
No more quick fixes for me.
Like the turtle these days, slow and steady wins the race!!
blessings.

That is so true in many ways! Slow and steady wins the race. Even when it comes to learning the things of God, if we think we can learn it all real fast. We are surely mistaken. It is through time and intimacy that revelation is manifested in our hearts and lasts a lifetime in our lives. You look absolutely amazing!
I have a friend that lost over 100 pounds too and the first time I saw her I did not recognize her either. And I knew her before she gained all her wait too. So I knew what she looked like before, after, and after again. it is amazing how weight gain changes our appearance.
Wow...I can't imagine trying to get myself into those girdles! Sheesh...
Thanks for the great advice, Angie!
Amen, this IS a lifestyle that by the grace of God we will maintain!!! Yoo hoo, way to go girlfriend. Love you!!
It is a life style I am learning bit by bit. Just over six weeks of no sodas. A month of a high raw diet. 13 days with no sweeteners, except for 1 tablespoon of molasses for iron. I can no longer take the supplements. Also past 13 days drinking 99% water and the rest juice.
The biggest lifestyle change is turning to God instead of food. I want for my children to see me turn to God.
My next step is to add that much needed exercise.
Thank You for being such an inspiration and sharing your story.
Blessings

Can you imagine eating a TAPE WORM?!?!?!?!? Oh my!!!! Gag!
Girl, they have a modern day suit thingy now that reduces you two sizes. My friend Deanna said it took her forever to get it on (lol), but she wore some dresses she hasn't been able to wear in a while. No thanks -- I don't like to be bound.
You are 100% right. DIETS DON'T WORK. It must be a lifestyle change.
I am proud of you!
You are beautiful and so is your site. I wish I could get motivated and do as you have done.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up Maggie and pray for Your healing touch upon her. Heal her oh Lord and she will be healed. Save her oh Lord and she will be saved for You are the One we praise. Father God, guide her on this journey towards wholeness, holiness and blamelessness as Your Word states. I pray that Christ will increase and she decrease in all areas of her life that are out of line with Your calling upon her life. amen amen amen
