It wasn't a Mar's bar, but M & M's.
They were calling out to me last night.
There is nothing wrong with having dessert with the eating life style I have been walking in for the past three years.
What was wrong was:
I wasn't hungry.
It was 9:22 pm. (what the heckeroni do I need to be eating then, AND in bed...been there, done that for YEARS..)
More importantly, it has been three weeks that I have not partaken in having any dessert.
The reason being is that I am NOT on maintain mode, I still need to be released from 30 lbs.
30 lbs that have been hanging on to the temple of God's for dear life.
During the Halloween season, I found myself having 'dessert' each and every night.
Chocolate and gummy candies. A couple here, a couple there and than looking down and finding wrappers all over me....
Ya!
Captivity calling out to me?
I'M NOT GOING BACK.
I just felt the Holy Spirit speak to my heart and say:
Angela, you are living like your maintaining your weight instead of being diligent to be released from the weight that does not belong to God's temple.
There is nothing wrong in having dessert. When you make dessert for your family during the week, it's NOT really for them but for you. Be honest now!
They have not asked for dessert, so don't make it.
When there are special occasions, have some dessert but other than that, avoid desserts.
So I have gotten my 'arrow' out, or more importantly, the 'sword of the Spirit' , which is the Word of God and been fighting off the temptations, the strongholds that have been calling me back to captivity.
Well the reason I knew it was 9:22 last night when the M & M's were calling out my name REAL LOUD is because I was sitting at the computer, my shield of faith slipping off and the sword of the Spirit was just about ready to be placed down so I could pick up the bag of M & M's when I opened up an email from www.maureen-theupwardcall.blogspot.com
Let me tell ya,,just read the name of her blog The Upward Call. WOW..
He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Without her even knowing, she was the precious vessel that God touched my spirit with to give me a way out so I could stand under the temptation. Stand under it, lift it up and off of me, casting it off!!
So my precious ones that are celebrating Thanksgiving this day..blessings to you and yours.
I am praying and thanking God for helping you this day to provide a way out when temptation comes a knocking.
When temptation to eat when your not hungry, to be stressed while preparing a loving meal for family and friends, when agitated by family members, when frustrated by all the commotion, when needing peace and quiet when there is so much chaos, when seeking love when your all alone this season....
Thy Kingdom come Father God on earth as it is in heaven.

This is something that I have been trying really hard to overcome. Eating without being hungry ... eating out of boredom.
