I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you. Isaiah 46:4
I just about laughed out loud when I found this on photo bucket yesterday morning.
Why you ask?
Well on Monday night before Bible Study I decided to get my pj's on before the ladies arrived. I've done this quite often. I USED to do this ALL the time but now I am able to wait for the ladies to leave to get ready for bed instead of being ready for bed while having Bible Study, lol. Totally God's doing, not mine.
Well I received a call from my 'adopted sister' asking me if I wanted to see my niece's new home before Bible Study started.
Sure why not!
So off we go in her car, and me in my pj's and housecoat.
When we arrive the driveway is PACKED with cars.
When we enter the house, it is PACKED with people.
Here I am in my pj's and Eyeore housecoat on.
Well, let's just say everyone there had a good laugh.
LOL.
LOL..I'm laughing away now as I remember..my goodness.
So I guess I can officially say I have entered into 'housecoat years'.
Since I have started to write devotionals on Homemaking, many of you have been corresponding with me. Sharing your struggles and your concerns.
Today I want to remind you who I was:

Well I actually didn't enjoy NOT working around the house. It depressed me to know end that I struggled so much with keeping up with the chores.
I would nap each and EVERY single day.
A good two hour nap.
On weekends, I would lay in bed on and off throughout the day.
THROUGHOUT THE DAY!!
Or when I was keeping up with the chores I pretty much did this the entire time.

Whining, complaining, murmuring, grumbling.

I also expected people to do everything for me.
There was even a time where I was going to hire someone to come and clean my home.
I'm HOME all day long and I was going to pay someone to clean my house people!!!

I'm just sharing my true experiences here with you.
Not to let you think that I have it all together.
Any good you 'see' is from the hand of God Almighty ALONE.
It truly is ALL HIS DOING.
Transformed.
Restored.
He made us beloved one and He will care for us. He will carry us along and save us.
He has carried me for years when I would lay in bed.
He would care for me when I couldn't care for myself nor my family.
He has saved me from myself.
He set me free.
He sets US free beloved one.
SIGH....
I am with you always, to the end of the age. Matthew 28:20

Let's bow down before our Lord and Savior and give Him praise this day. He is deserving of all praise and adoration.
Let us humble ourselves before the throne of God, where we are able to receive grace and mercy in our time of need.
Let us cry out:
Christ increase within us. More of You, less of us. May we decrease so You increase.
Thy Kingdom come Father God on earth as it is in heaven.
amen amen amen

Ive just got to say I LOVE you blog! It is seriously a highlight of my day... So fun to look at & so full of encouragement!
I have to laugh myself silly, with all your photos.. just to stinkin awesome!! But the thing for me, after reading your stuff, I am opposite of you - I NEVER sit down in the day, unless I am quilting on a project or order for someone.. I am like the busy beaver whose on steroids and juiced up with DD batteries.. you couldn't find me laying down no matter how much I need too! But, God is working on me , still. trying to teach me to REST in Him, and Soak in His Healing Waters right now.. So, between your resting, and my extra energy, I think Gods got us covered, don't ya think?
Hi, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you will join me over at Grace Talk With Daveda in Touched By The Fathers love. Please come on over and check it out!

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

I think I am already in my housecoat years! I love my visits here - to honor your blog I have a "gift" for you at my blog.
You are a riot! I think I wet my pants from laughter over here. TMI-I didn't want you to think I had it all together either. LOL... I too share this desire to nap and grace the public arena with my nightwear. My husband is thankful I no longer grace the aisles of the local grocery with my big bunny slippers and jammies too. That was an answer to his prayer. I have shown him that the Lord DOES answer prayer! :o)
On a serious note, I'm so thankful the Lord meets us right where we are... in jammies or in the depths of despair. He helped me to trade in my old stuff for this nice new robe. He called it... um... "the robe of righteousness." I loved the name! After I put it on I felt transformed.
:o) Grace & Peace,
Heather of S-A-M
happy thanksgiving, angela!
Haha!
I'm not there .. yet.
Although, I've never been one to have pj's on before I go to bed. I usually just stay in my clothes until I'm ready for bed and then get dressed pretty much upon waking up. Most days anyhow... :)
Very funny story! :P You're a nut.
Love you!!
Laura
H Angela! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Boy! Does your post hit home! I liked that picture of Marilyn. It didn't even look like her. Why do people think they have to change their looks? I'm not beautiful, but God made me this way, so I must be beautiful to Him. Who am I to judge? Anyway, love your post.
Love ya!
PJ
You are so awesome, I love you sis.
Lol! I'm totally a PJ girl too. We have a food delivery guy and it never fails what time he comes to our house, I'm in my PJ's!
That's too funny. I could just imagine a room full of people turning to look at you and you flashing them your beautiful big smile. You and I were so much alike in our "former" selves. I used to do ALL those same things too. We are changing much in the same ways too. There, that proves what I've always believed, we're spiritual twins...soul sisters. Don't get blown away by all these sweet commenters, no one will love ya like I do, lol. (((Hugs)))
