The joy of the Lord is my strength. Nehemiah 8:10
Do you have a morning schedule?
What about an evening schedule?
How do you start your mornings?
How do you end your evenings?
"Take time out for beauty"...
Well the first thing I to take the time to add 'beauty' is say a greeting to our Father, my Savior and the Holy Spirit.
Good Morning Father.
Good Morning Jesus.
Good Morning Holy Spirit.
Than before I get out of bed, I do leg stretches that help my back loosen up.
Coffee that was programmed the night before is already perked for my first cup of coffee.
Than off I go to my corner and spend time with our Lord. Read His Word, a few devotional books and my prayer book.

I will go downstairs to the laundry room after that to see if the load of wash I started first thing after grabbing my coffee is ready for the dryer.

Than back upstairs to the bathroom to wash my face, brush teeth (I floss everyday also), and put my creams on my face.I use Proactive which has helped me not have HUGE HONKING zits all over my chin. I also use Loreal for under my eyes and forehead.

Than I add a bit of make up. I don't usually wear much. Most of the time it is just mascara and a bit of rouge. Some days I may add eyeshadow. Of course lip gloss. I LOVE lip gloss..lol

I than get dressed with the clothes I laid out the night before. Many of us do it for our wee ones, why shouldn't we do it for ourselves. EVEN if we are stay at home mom's!
Before I started to do this, I would just grab the first thing my hand would reach for and that was many times paint stained sweat pants and grease stained shirts.

Yes, I put jewelery on! Again, the night before I will try to find some earrings and a necklace that will match what I am wearing for the next day. Plus my watch, all set on my dresser for me to grab the next morning.
Perfume is a must. I LOVE smelling good...lol. I love to smell my wrists throughout the day,,LOL..I know..what can I say..lol.

I also like to coordinate my aprons to what I'm wearing for the day.Aprons to me are like another piece of clothing!!
Once this is completed, I will than spend some time on the computer to read and answer emails, start my devotional and get Asher up for school.
Write in my chore journal what rooms will need to be cleaned, any appointments, or phone calls that need to be made, etc.
Shaneah's lunch is made.
Prepare breakfast for her.
Daycare dishes brought downstairs to be put away and start getting ready for the children to arrive.
7:30 a.m. phone call from Paula at His Living Sacrifice .
This is our time we pray and lift up all your prayer requests that you have shared with us, and also many times where God has called us to pray for you without you even asking!!! Isn't our Father so loving and compassionate.
So how do you start your day?
How about your evening?
My evenings will be wash face, shower, gather clothes for the next day, read two devotional books, pray and watch some EWTN or Salt and Light. I usually fall asleep to Mother Angelica doing the Rosary..My son Randan says I'm like a 90 year old grandmother,,LOL..
Well I'm off, will need to be praying soon...
Blessings.

I have a general routine. Specifics don't work well for us. Just wanted to stop by and say hi!
Hope you have a wonderful week!
Karen
You have an awesome routine, especially when you call that Paula chick, lol!! This week has shown me how much I miss my early mornings. So much that I'm willing to set an alarm to get up early even when I don't have to, lol. I guess this is another way God has changed me on the inside. Love you bushels!!!
Angela,
Just stopping by to let you know I responded to your comment on my blog here:

Take care,

Wow...I was reading through your routine and all the things you do in the morning...and then I read...phone call at 7:30 am...goodness, what time do you get up to have so much completed by seven thirty?!! More power to you! Haha! We have a general routine here, but nothing that specific. I do have to have my coffee first thing though, and I usually try to get in my quiet time around breakfast time. Other than that though things vary from day to day.
Thanks for stopping by my blog too. Blessings!

Hey Angela... Have missed you! You haven't gone anywhere - LOL! But I have been so busy getting our house ready to sell I haven't had much time on the computer ;) I used to live by a rigid schedule every day but several months ago I felt the Lord telling me to "dump" the schedule and listen to Him. So, the only thing I do each and every morning is get up when the alarm goes off and spend about an hour in prayer, reading my Bible and devotionals - sometimes I will listen to some praise/worship music as well. Have a great Thanksgiving my friend!

But... but... my routine has tons of sitting and staring in it...LOL!
And.. and...procrastinating by getting on the computer.
And, yes, that is what I am doing right now. I go to your blog when I am ready to be inspired to go "do". LOL!
God Bless!!!
That's awesome Ang...I can never stick to a routine, I'm far too flighty for that. I can barely sit still long enough to finish one task! I hope to have that kind of dedication and perseverance someday!
You are terrific! Happy Thanksgiving my dear!
