A WHOLE NEW OUTLOOK

Christian
Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3

Ya, well I've done that.

How come I still feel like a failure?

I'm good for a few days or weeks than I'm back to where I first started.

Vintage,Home

Just sitting. Just looking around at everything that needs to get done but not having the energy to do it.

I shared with the ladies at my Bible Study yesterday about homemaking.

"I found I was more exhausted when I sat around THINKING about all the chores that had to get done, than when I finally got up off my behind and JUST DID IT!"

I was sharing how a few times last week I was so exhausted I just wanted to go to bed. I didn't want to clean, didn't want to get my chores done but the Holy Spirit gave me the nudge, spurred me on and spoke to my spirit and said, "Just do it".

Less than 40 minutes, the chores were done.

While I cleaned both those days, forcing myself to do so by the way, I found myself meditating upon God our Father. Just giving Him praise, thanking Him that when I am weak, than He is strong within me.

I felt Him speak to my heart saying:

Angela,it has taken you less than 40 minutes to complete your chores. They are done. The times you sat around being anxious, worried, lazy and procrastinating over the chores was LONGER than 40 minutes and it left you totally exhausted.

The first picture above is so true.

Gratitude gives your entire day a whole new outlook on life.

We need gratitude when it comes to homemaking and cleaning.

You definitely will see a difference happening in your life.

I can testify to that!

Thy kingdom come Father God on earth as it is in heaven.
amen amen amen

Oh I can relate to this so well.
I put things off and put things off. Thinking.. "I don't have time to tackle that room. It's such a mess. I'll never finish it." and.. it takes me half an hour or something stupid like that. LOL

Even now. I'm sitting here on the computer when my downstairs needs to be vacuumed and laundry started and.. and .. and...
Better get at it!

Love you.

I can definitely relate...not only with housekeeping, but with my job. The things I dread, I tend to put off. When I finally do them, they don't take long at all!

Thanks...I needed this nudge!

Love,
Beth

FOR Randy's eye's only????????? BUBBA

Bubba was bragging to his boss one day, "You know, I know everyone there is to know. Just name someone, anyone, and I know them."

Tired of his boasting, his boss called his bluff, "OK, Bubba how about Tom Cruise?"

"Sure, yes, Tom and I are old friends, and I can prove it." So Bubba and his boss fly out to Hollywood and knock on Tom Cruise's door, and sure enough, Tom Cruise, shouts, "Bubba! Great to see you! You and your friend come right in and join me for lunch!"

Although impressed, Bubba's boss is still skeptical. After they leave Cruise's house, he tells Bubba that he thinks Bubba's knowing Cruise was just lucky.

"No, no, just name anyone else," Bubba says.

"President Clinton," his boss quickly retorts.

"Yes," Bubba says, "I know him, let's fly out to Washington."

And off they go. At the White House, Clinton spots Bubba on the tour and motions him and his boss over, saying, "Bubba, what a surprise, I was just on my way to a meeting, but you and your friend come on in and let's have a cup of coffee first and catch up." Well, the boss is very shaken by now, but still not totally convinced.

After they leave the White house grounds, he expresses his doubts to Bubba, who again implores him to name anyone else.

"The Pope," his boss replies. "Sure!" says Bubba.

"My folks are from Poland, and I've known the Pope a long time."

So off they fly to Rome. Bubba and his boss are assembled with the masses in Vatican Square when Bubba says, "This will never work. I can't catch the Pope's eye among all these people. Tell you what, I know all the guards so let me just go upstairs and I'll come out on the balcony with the Pope." and he disappears into the crowd headed toward the Vatican. Sure enough, half an hour later Bubba emerges with the Pope on the balcony. But by the time Bubba returns, he finds that his boss has had a heart attack and is surrounded by paramedics.

Working his way to his boss' side, Bubba asks him, "What happened?" His boss looks up and says, "I was doing fine until you and the Pope came out on the balcony and the man next to me said, "Who's that on the balcony with Bubba?".

You are right! It's not that I'm tired . . cause I have lots of energy when I feel like I'm accomplishing something. It's the overwhelming tired-ness of being a failure so why bother. Thank you for todays blog. You are my daily blessing!

By the way, have you ever heard of "eat the frog"? It's one of my husband's favorite sayings. Do the thing you hate the most and get it out of the way. Eat the frog and then you can have ice cream. giggle

I can so relate to this also. I am going to start one of the chore journals that will help me.

Dh's grandma had a good idea, she said get up and get all chores done in the morn so you can do whatever you'd like the rest of the day. lol
She just turned 88, lives alone and it still going...Godbless her! She's quite funny too, she will make you laugh :)

Thanks for this post today, I needed to read it and have the attitude of gratitude too.

Hugs to ya!
