COMFIRMATION, COME HOLY SPIRIT

Yesterday was the big night! Shaneah 'confirming' she will walk with the Lord all the days of her life. Receiving and accepting the Holy Spirit's gifts and fruits.
Mama bought her a beautiful necklace.
Shaneah chose my cousin Teresa to be her sponser. The one that will guide her, mentor her and help her on her continued journey of faith. Teresa was also the one that was by Shaneah's side 13 years ago on November 17, 1996 when she was baptized. Full circle!

Wonder what Shaneah is opening?

An IPOD Touch..this precious girl was STUNNED and started to get tears in her eyes when she realized that Teresa bought this for her. Teresa gave her the spill on not taking it to school, remembering as she 'carries' this around, she is also carrying the Holy Spirit within her and being wise what goes inside this IPOD, also goes inside her. Awww...not only wise words from a Sponser, but a High school Teacher!
Shaneah entering into the Church.
Shaneah chose the name Faith for her Confirmation name. She learned about Saint Faith, a 12 year old girl that was martyred because she refused to bow down and worship pagan Gods. Do you know Saint Faith was terribly abused. Breasts cut off, burnt at the stake, than had her head chopped off (breasts cut off and burning at the stake DID NOT kill her physical body). 12 YEARS OLD people!!I think about me...would I be that strong faced with those insurmountable attacks?
Shaneah with Bishop Wingle. He is just a joy and blessing to our Diocese. Patient, gentle and a real people person. Very welcoming to everyone.
Here is my 6 dollar mink coat that I've talked about for ages,,lol.
Asher taking a close up of Papa!
My cousin's daughter Joanna. My third child that I miscarried was to be born the same month as Joanna...Low and behold, 7 months later Joanna was given a cousin, Shaneah Anita Angelika Hope. These two are such a blessing together...
Asher taking a pic of his sister before we left Church.

I must share that the Holy Spirit's anointing was SO strong last night. Believe it or not, my family was together, sitting in the pews. My sons have not been to Church in about three years, last Mother's Day.

What joy. What a blessing. What a precious gift from God Almighty lavished upon my family last night.

Truly this is ALL God's doing!

As the Spirit led me just now, I have asked the Lord to walk along side your beautiful daughter, rising her up in the faith, and rising her even further into Father God's arms during her faith walk. As she is surrounded by the love of you, and your family, the Lord will direct your girl , and bless her with the knowlege of Christ - this is His promise to her, as she has trusted in Him, for her life. I am so proud of her, and YOU , for being a role model of the faith that it will take to walk thru life ... Awesome stuff, girlfriend!

There is not a greater blessing a mother can have than to see her child accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior and allow Him to guide them on their walk of life. I'm so happy for you!!!

You've been so open about sharing your family struggles and to see this is truly a blessing to a fellow traveler that isn't quite so far. Thanks Ang!
