HOMEWARD BOUND

This post is LOADED people, with pictures.

My goodness gracious. I had to shut down my computer and start it back up because it was taking me forever to load these pictures up. LOL..

Since I no longer have my 'angel' lamp working, I ended up getting one from the rec room (yes another yard sale find) and brought it here.

I made this little vignette.

Hey Mim, see what I did with one of your blessings you sent me!

So here is Homeward Bound.

Sharing the chores completed.

whewwww...doing these posts sure is getting me to clean my house.

A little Easter vignette to greet everyone when they walk by our window.

A little Easter vignette that the wee ones stand by and stare. And stare. And stare. Then hear me from the kitchen, 'don't touch Miss Angie's decorations.' They continue to stare. LOL. They are so precious to me.
I DID recycle the plant. I put my Christmas cactus on the bike for a ride now!
I love that gold plate in the back ground. It has a bowl attached to it. I use it for veggies and dip. My Aunt gave it to me. It was a shower gift she received close to 40 years ago. She still had it in the box that it came in when she gave it to me!
My mommy's china she gave me when she moved from her huge house to a little house.

This angel she bought me for my birthday one year!

Hey Lisa and sunshine see anything familiar?

Come one girls, gotta LOVE the gingham!

Many of the items that I ended up putting in my china cabinet were either in the bottom part of the cabinet behind doors, or in the white cabinet. This sugar container was my grandmothers. It's older than I am. About 25 years old I think. LOL LOL LOL....
If you click on the picture you can see what I put inside the bird cage. The cage was hanging from my ceiling for awhile.

Get this, while I was fighting those gorilla (dust) bunnies, I noticed that those angels had price tags still on them.

Yes, yard sale finds.

Well, the prices for the angels were 22.99 EACH...

The Purple one was from Pier One (I love that store. I can't afford to shop in that store unless it's 75% off).

I have to be honest with you.

sigh...oh my..all this honesty. And to think at one time I was a professional liar! lol

I was SERIOUSLY thinking of getting rid of those angels.

I liked them.

Remember, my motto is if I love it keep it, if I like it give it away.

Well when I saw the price tags..hmmmmmm..

I fell in love with them.

Isn't that awful?

I can be bought.

sigh...

See, no more candy canes.

Now hearts.

hmmmm..Valentine's is over I think isn't it?

Yes, I watered my plants last week.

And get this!

I watered them again this week.

My beautiful plate that was given to me by Beth at I’m Heading Towards My Destiny
I had this cabinet on an angle from the last post and I moved it against the wall. I also moved the lamp that was behind the cabinet. I empty the entire cabinet and rearrange items from my China cabinet to this cabinet and back and forth, lol.
My 'tablecloth' bedspread.

Yes, bedspread.

I JUST love it.

Reminds me of my childhood.

A big whopping one dollar!

I SO need flowers in that vase!
This is what greets you now when you enter the home!
Here is my 'new' angel candle lamp. Get this. AFTER Randy took the chord off he told me he was able to fix the wobbly lamp shade. SIGH...BIGGER SIGHHHHHHHHH
Eventually these games will be brought to the rec room once it has been completely remodelled. Until than, they will still in the Computer Room. You can see a little bit of the carpet that is on the floor. I had that in my front entrance. I brought this one (I have two identical ones) to the Computer Room for the Spring/Summer season. Once Fall/Winter hits I bring it back to the front entrance to help keep the dirt, snow and debris at bay!
I cannot even begin to tell you how much papers I was able to recycle. I ended up getting rid of that wrapping paper I was using as a shelf liner. I still need to get rid of the paper on the other shelf. You can see a little rip if you click on the picture to enlarge. I can see it as clear as day right from where I am typing, LOL. Yes, talk about obsessive! No wait, that sounds so negative. Talk about a 'detail' person I am..lol. Ya, I like that MUCH better.
I ended up decluttering so much on this shelf that I have two empty baskets now that I just placed upon on the top shelf for when I start 'gathering' again, lol.
I changed my aprons to 'match' the season. Now that Spring is in the air, wanted to get some colours to match the season. You know me! If I match my aprons with what I'm wearing for the day might as well match for the season also! lol I think this precious lady would agree with me. http://susannahsaprons.blogspot.com
Those three candle lanterns were purchased for one dollar. I had these on the blue shelf below for the longest time. I like how they look on that black shelf I purchased for one dollar. The basket holds all my address stickers I use when mailing out letters. I placed this pretty apron in it also. Yes, all yard sale finds too! Same with the red shelf, and the topiary. I ended up moving the wash board also and taking off the dish towel that I had hanging over it. I like the simple look of the wash board on the wall like that.
I ended up moving my A from the dining room and placing it here in the computer room. This blue shelf was a yard sale find for one dollar many years ago.

I'm like the little ones you keep...I could just stare and stare and never get bored. Everything looks so good!! I loved the fact we could enlarge the pictures and the pearls in the birdcage are so elegant. Wow girlie, you really know how to decorate. You're alot like my Mom in that way. (((hugs)))

Wow, so much beautiful stuff! I love how cheery your house is. I enjoy red a lot. If you lived closer, I'd have to ask you for help in making my house cuter. :)

Please pray for my brother David today if he comes to mind.

XOXOXO

Love you!

You're a born decorator... I can tell! A lot of fun!!! (I used to do commercial ID work before we had kids.)

Yes, bedspreads make great table cloths! I used a French matlasse bedspread as a table cloth for awhile. You only paid one dollar? A steal!

Thanks so much for the linky love. :~D

Oh my gosh Angie!
Everything turned out just beautifully! You did an amazing job. I'm so jealous. I wish I was better at putting things together like you are.
Love that paper.. LOL!

I probably won't be doing this next week. I'm taking the next week off of blogging because #1~ I need to get some stuff done around here and #2 The kids are going to be on Spring Break starting Friday. I'll be back participating the week after. Okay?

((Hugs))
Love you!

BEAUTIFUL!! You're making me feel bad about the stuff I still haven't dealt with. However, in my defense, it has been raining and snowing here, so we've been unable to get the stuff to the garage for the yard sale planned for next week. Soon, my little home will be pretty and sparkling like yours. I will come back here to get inspired because, honestly, I am not a woman who wakes up and says, "I can't wait to do housework"! lol I'm loving it more, though, in my old age as I look at it as a way to bless my family. Thanks for the inspiration! Everything is just gorgeous! Love all those bargains!

God bless you - Julie

Oh girl, my house is so simple and barren compared to yours. You make me want to decorate for spring. I especially need to get out some Easter decorations! I'm a Christian for cryin' out loud! :o)

Thanks for sharing your home with us -- and thank you for the mention. (((hugs)))

Very cool decorating! I just loved it. I love anything vintage. I avoid it now that I have little ones, but someday I will do what I like.
