It doesn't REALLY look like it's about time does it?
You know.
Do some chores?
How did that get there?
Yes, you read correctly.
Force myself.
You see I wanted to give up.
I was SO overwhelmed.
I wanted to break down crying.
Overwhelmed with what I had to do.
Than thoughts of ALL the other chores that needed to get done.
All the 'to do lists' that needed to be checked off.
I wanted to go to bed.
I kept plugging away.
Concentrating on the task at hand.
Not thinking about everything else that had to get done.
Just this job.
Finish THIS job right now Angela!
You can do it.
Your NOT going to bed and put the blankets over your head.
With my absolutely favorite Pine Pol sent...Lavender.
Oh my goodness, I LOVE this stuff!
Wonder when the last time I did it?
Wait...
Is that something growing on the wall?
Wonder how long it's been up there?
I guess is It's About Time
to get crackin!
What about you?

anything on your To Do list?
And since I'm asking...
Do any of you deal with that overwhelming sense

like this woman here?
Or the emotions I was struggling with while I did my chores?
If you do, I want to encourage you

just put one foot in front of the other...and soon you'll be walking out the door... to do your grocery shopping! lol...
That's where I'm headed..

I'm going to try some of that Pine Pol Lavender scent! To answer your question, yes, I do deal with an overwhelming feeling when approaching chores and have to force myself to do it. Great post Angela!
I agree with Mrs. Imperfection. I feel exactly the same way. I always feel better when I complete the task. Thanks for these weekly reminders to do something. I make it my aim to one main thing a day...some days I succeed others I don't but it's nice to know God loves me just the same. Love you!!
Oh sis...you have NO IDEA how much I needed to read this today! I am been feeling horribly overwhelmed with all that needs to be done before we can truly 'make room for Bubby'! So much to go through and declutter, throw away, reorganize...not to mention all of the cleaning that has to be done after!
Thanks for reminding me it is just one small step at a time and putting one foot in front of the other!
You are a godsend my friend. I will be picturing your lovely face as I dig in to some of those chores tonight!
The story of my life - but God's working on me. :) Floors are my most dreaded chore but I did that yesterday so today I relax. NOT. haha
And of course the last line made me laugh. You are so funny!
I feel overwhelmed right now. Thanks for giving me the push to force myself to keep going.
Proverbs 12:24 - Diligent hands will rule, but laziness ends in slave labor. (niv)
I really have to fight laziness!
My latest blog entry tells it all, girlie! I am totally overwhelmed with all that I have to do. I don't even want to get started, because my daughter is due tomorrow and with a new baby around, who wants to clean?
Just popping in... :P
You know I can't stay away. (still not blogging though).
My kitchen needs a MAJOR overhaul, big time. To the point where, I feel like you do, overwhelmed. With all the day to day stuff that needs to be done, I just never seem to get in there to do a real deep cleaning. And it needs it!!!!
Can't wait to see the finished results!
((Hugs))
Laura
P.S. Miss you...
Thanks for this post.
I used to get totally overwhelmed with laundry, but since both boys are in college now I've FINALLY caught up! lol
I hate to deal with cleaning the bathrooms. Mine is not so bad. I took the bathroom off of our bedroom and claimed it as MINE. The three guys have the "Boys Bathroom" down the hall. When all three are home, it is disgusting. I could clean it every single day and it would still be disgusting! I don't understand it, but then that's why I have my own bathroom! lol
Oh I just have missed the boogers outta ya, Angela!
I love your hilarious take on life and your pure honesty. What a perfect post to pop back into your world to read......I am SO in need of just sucking it up and get crackin on some spring cleaning. My cobwebs have cobwebs.
I hope this finds you smiling and well.
