REDNESDAY

So I was sitting outside yesterday and journalling.

Pouring my heart out on paper.

Crying out to the Lord.

Also thinking about not joining up with Sue at It's A Very Cherry World! for a Rednesday post.

Not because I don't have any more red to share.

As if!

Wasn't feeling much like blogging.

Than as I looked up I saw this view.

And as any blogger who has blogged for awhile knows...

A post came about.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My own eye. Psalm 32:8

Someone at work said to me the other day...

"I know your spiritual..."...

Better than being called a 'holy roller' eh Beth?

lol...

She wrote a post a few days back

Last week on garbage day I spotted this hoe by my neighbor's garbage can.

Off I trot, with my pj's on.

And my Holy Rosary around my neck (the one I sleep with,lol)...

hmmmmmmmm....holy roller?

lol

I thought of this..

Holy Curler Roller...

lol (wasn't even planning on sharing this pic but it just popped into my head, lol)

And of course there is RED!

So why not!

As usual, when I do a post that I really don't want to do, nor believe I have much to share with you, something always starts to unfold.

Makes me think of life in general.

We think we have nothing to give, nothing of value to share.

As our life starts to unfold though, something happens.

That is what happened yesterday.

I was busy writing in my prayer journal because I was struggling emotionally.

I sorta wanted to verbally vomit on paper all my fears, all my worries and anxieties.

As I began writing though, it unfolded into something completely different.
I've worshiped many things.

Hungered for many.

Desired a whole lotta!!!!

But none of it compares to Jesus.

I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will guide you with My own eye. Psalm 32:8

He's leading me.

It also means when I get off the right path...

He's there to guide me back.

Sometimes you have to look REALLY close to know He IS there...

Just like this picture above.

Look very closely and you can see a red can.

It's there.

You just gotta look for it.

Blessings.

Love you all.....

and thank you for loving me and praying so faithfully for my family and I.

sigh....

I never stop praying for you...

He brings you to my thoughts.

God IS good.

A wonderful post as always. You always seem to speak to me right where I'm at...struggling with so many things. Thank you for being so open; it really does help me to see that I'm not alone in my struggles and also that God really is in control, even when I don't "see" it at the time. You're just wonderful, my friend, and I'm so thankful I found you. :)

God bless you - Julie

Angela, so often, what you write speaks so closely to my heart. It's nice, when we are in (or coming out of, like me) a time of struggle, to know that 1. we aren't the only ones struggling and 2. to know that God is with us. I am definitely praying for you, my friend!

Sitting still with Jesus is a GOOD thing, Angela. (As you know.) May He continue to fulfill your deepest heart's desires and give you peace.

I'm glad you posted Angie! I think we all go through times when we don't feel like we have anything to post -- but since the Holy Spirit lives in us -- we can find God in almost any picture. Just like the analogy of the red can! I loved that!

Hey, I've been called spiritual too. That day I commanded my Mama's leg to grow and it grew -- the therapists said, "I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING DIFFERENT ABOUT YOU! IT WAS SOMETHING SPIRITUAL." Uh, ok. Yes, Holy-Spirit-ual.

Love ya. Thanks for the shout out!

Thank you for starting nowhere and ending up somewhere!

RED OR YELLOW?

If you have a penchant for red,
Then scarlet will go to your head;
But if it is gold
You’d rather behold,
Then plant yellow roses instead.

So beautiful. He sees us - every minute of every day. We are never alone or far away - not really. It's just in our minds that we fill distance. The truth is, we are firmly in His grip. Love that you share your heart with us.

I love this post! I'm so glad that you decided to link up for Rednesday! I love how the Lord really does know how to guide us. He knew that you needed to do a post and receive words of encouragement. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love your curler pic. It's kindof like me posing in the Larkspur. Crazy, but sometimes you just gotta go for it. Have a great day!

Great post- you are always such an encouragement. I love the way you love Jesus- it just softens the hearts of so many to how good He is. I also love how honest you are... I think so often in the Christian life we think that we can have questions, pains, doubts, fears, and still be joyous in our walk with the lord, and yet its so not true. He knows the realites of life, and wants to walk through them with us, and I love how you demonstrate intimacy with jesus even when things arent perfect. So appreciate you.

And loved the "holy roller" photo- fantastic! :)

Blessings, sister,
Nicole
