God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you may have an abundance for every good work. 2 Corinthians 9:8
This pic above is me coming to my parents after working a full day at Walmart.
Grace abounding.
An abundance for every good work.
God showing favor.
God giving me the strength to persevere.
Those of you that prayed for my co workers and I on
well God heard and God answered more than you will ever know.
It was a REALLY hard time for me.
God IS good and did more than I could have ever asked, imagined or prayed for.
I didn't know what I would find when I came home from work Christmas Eve.
My mother was and is in excruciating pain with her eyes. We don't know what is happening. Specialists will see her in London on January 10th but the pain is just breaking her, and breaking us watching her and not being able to do anything to help her.
She was at Emergency for three hours on Christmas Eve but the wait was far too much for her (three hours and three people still ahead of her). My dad brought her home.
Here she is resting in their 'new' TV room (that I'm still working on) with Shaneah. She cried watching the video of Julia on JULIA'S PRAYER... Please continue to pray for the Turner family and for the friends. Especially for the young ones that were so close and dear to Julia...
My mother is in a lot of pain folks. My heart breaks at times.
I don't know what's harder.
Being the one in pain.
Or the one watching the loved one in pain and not being able to do anything to help them.
It's really hard on my dad and I.
Harder on my dad. He's been doing this for most of their married life. My mother has been through hell and back more times than anyone I know. My dad has had the journey with her, going to hell and back with her and standing by her side the entire time.
I haven't.
It was just too hard when I was younger.
Still is.
I'm just willing to go to hell and back with her now...
So while my mother rested, the guys and I sat around the table and listened to stories of the mafia (yes, we do know a few actually...just ask my dad!)
My dad is an amazing story teller and so is my brother.
"Just wait"..is what Peter by brother tells my dad when he's telling the story and my dad is trying to help him out.
Randan and Asher (Shaneah joined us later so my mom could have a little snooze) told stories about their times as youngsters at my parents house (that would probably scare most children but hey...we are not 'NORMAL'...isn't that just a setting on the dryer by the way?
lol
"Look like a loving family" is my comment.
Notice the finger Randy gave ever so slyly?
Soooooooooooooo much better!!!
We all laughed our buns of steel off.
Yes, my entire family have buns of steel you know.
LOL..
The flash hurt my mom's eyes.
Not only can you tell by her eyes but can you hear her..
"ohhhhhhhhhhhhh"...
So we continued to take pictures trying to see if it would hurt her anymore..
LOL....
Randan kept trying to set the settings and I kinda stuck my fingers a little too close to her eyes at one time which than the children went on and on about...
I didn't think I did.
I guess the camera showed the evidence.
I deleted that pic.
Gave you this one instead.
Later on my dad and I were in my mom's room because he wanted to show Shaneah how my mom can notice anything.
I guess he had put the bed sheet the 'wrong' way.
She noticed when she got into bed.
LOL.
So Asher came into the room. Jumped onto the new 4000 dollar bed.
We had to get it going.
Up and down it went. Vibrating.
Shaneah jumped on.
I hollered for Randan to come in the room so I could get a pic of the three grandchildren to put into the frame my mother has had for a few years with some children that are not her own...lol
The above pic is the first one.
Oh, are they just not angelic?
I kept screaming...
"I don't want no Satanic signs!" "You know I'm putting this on my blog~!" ( I have no problem with my child giving the finger, but no way are they going to give satanic signs, thank you very much!! lol)
Peter my brother came in by this time and kept saying something about 'Metallica signs' (band?..what the heckeroni do I know,LOL).
Folks, I'm still trying to figure out which picture I should use?
Or this one?
So wherever there is any kind of action going on, my mother will be coming!
Enters the room...
"Move over" she says...
Asher proceeds to tell her how the heck does she ever get into the bed each night.
Folks, it's high.
She's not that mobile!
I tell the kids...
"Just watch her."
Up she goes.
Finally she says once on the bed...
"Push me over."
LOL
There..
Perfect!
Well of course till I see her making a sign.
"Mom, your saying your a loser."
LOL...
Than I told the kids they better not try to teach her any satanic signs..lol
Of course they had to tell me to stop being so weird.
Better...
LOVE.
And Randan made sure he shielded her from the flash!
"Ok, get off. You come here," my mom tells the boys.
She tells the boys to leave and me jump on!
Randan decided it was the 'boys' turn but stated..
"Not on the bed, that is just not cool".
Flashing booze and money and looking like a gangsta is!@
So every one had to grab a bottle of booze out of my parents booze cabinet(which is filled by the way...my parents don't drink..'for guests' they say..well we were the guests that night, LOL)
All the phone camera's had to come out.
Randan's. Asher's. Peter's. My camera.
Everyone knew it was going on the blog.
The Tomanio/Redekop's best Christmas Eve evaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Blessings to you and yours this Christmas Day.

Angie, What an awesome family you have!! I absolutely love the kids on the bed. I remember when my boys were Randon and Ashers age. They were so much fun then. I miss that!
Haha! I LOVE it! You guys are too much. ;p
So sorry to hear about your Mum. I hope that she feels better soon. She's had a tough year.
We had a great Christmas Eve too. I forgot my camera though..(much to everyone's relief) LOL
My mother in law was telling me that she got a real tree this year. She just moved into a condo and didn't realize that she wasn't allowed to have one! They have to be fake.
I asked her how in the heck she was going to get rid of it without anyone noticing!
She says... (get this..)... "Oh, I thought that I'd just wrap it up in a blanket and take it out to my car at night-you guys can come help me. We'll take it and dump it somewhere"...
I was like... Oh great. A bunch of Italians carrying what probably looks like a dead body wrapped up in a blanket out to a car trunk in the middle of the night. That won't raise any red flags I'm sure.
Hope you're having a great day sweetie!
((Hugs))
Laura
good for you! maybe your mom has the pain syndrome I have. CRPS.
Chronic regional pain syndrome or RSD.
Merry Christmas!!
Angela, I loved this post. I am so glad that you are having a great Christmas time with your family. This post has inspired me, I want to take my family during the next week to my mothers for a visit. Thank you for inspiring me through you sharing your life on your blog to do this with my family and my mother. You are a wonderful example for me.
OH, Angie! I just love you and this post was the best! I laughed so hard at all the mafia talk and the pics of them all with money and booze! LOL Just the best!
I'm so sorry about your Mom and her pain. I know how hard it is for her to be in pain and will be praying for the Lord to lift the pain and to give the doctors wisdom.
Merry Christmas, dear friend! You're a blessing!!
Love - Julie
