They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8 NLT

I know this may sound like a silly prayer but could you all pray for my co workers at Walmart and I over the next few days.
Hedge of protection (some people are mean, nasty and prone to violence).
For peace in a STRESSED FILLED shift!
For strength.
For joy in the midst of the Scrooges we face.
Just got home from my shift this evening and I'm tired emotionally and mentally.
I just want to scream at some people.
It's Christmas.
Yes there are long line ups.
Yes, not every cash register is open.
We are doing our best.
Praise God you are able to stand in line for 15 to 20 minutes.

I know of a family that would LOVE to be standing in line at the check out instead of standing by their dying daughter's bedside.
UPDATE: My son has informed me that Julia has passed away.
I'm just so hurting right now thinking of Julia Turner and her family.
Please pray for them.
Julia is back in the hospital.
Fighting for her life from a cancer that is destroying her body.

Please pray for those that are struggling during this Holy Season.
There are A LOT of hurting people all around us.
Having hope will give you courage. you will be protected and will rest in safety. Job 11:18
Blessings everyone.

AN EMAIL I RECEIVED:
I just had to tell you how much my life has changed since I asked for prayer.
I got a job for starters. I fell into this job and feel grateful for it as I feel I can do the job and someone is willing to give me a chance after not working for so long (25 years). I was a S.A.H.M and a home school Mom for 9 of those years. I do NOT regret this.
One of my children just earned his bachelor's degree as well.
It's hard not to be concerned about my husband's health issues but it is what it is and with God's help I'll be OK.
God has just dumped everything in my lap (a good thing) and everything I ever wanted seems to be going my way.
I feel so calm about everything and confident but not prideful (the negative kind of pride) but I do take pride in what I do to see that it is done correctly which IMO is the good kind of pride.
For the first time in a very, very long time I am not depressed during this season nor am I dreading Christmas Day hating it all the way. I feel like I have a life to look forward to now.
The boss even knows about my special medical needs and is OK with it. A lot of bosses would not be OK with my particular medical needs.
Life is good and I am so very grateful to be among the living again and not among the grieving. My parents died in October 2008 and December of 2006 and although I miss them I am not still grieving like I was before this year.
My husband and I also had a second honeymoon in another state and it was a wonderful vacation. Everyone deserves a vacation like that.
Anyway I just had to let you know how much I appreciate everyone's prayers because my life sure has turned around in a short amount of time it seems and I am so grateful to God for it.
Take care and God Bless,
Donna
Thanking God for the email you rec'd and praising HIM for all that HE does on our behalf! We are blessed, truly blessed!
Sorry, to hear about Julia. Praying for her family and those who were close to her. I think loosing someone around the holidays must be very difficult.
You have an awesome Christmas, sweet lady!
Hugs & blessings!
My heart and prayers go out to Julia's family.
Praying for you and all those employed at Walmart, other retail places and food stores! People KNOW that the stores and traffic are crazy at this time of year and yet they still can get quite cranky!
I pray that you and your family have a blessed and wonderful Christmas, Angela!
Amen! I used to be annoyed when i had to stoop to pick something up and then realized how blessed it is to be ABLE to stoop and pick it up. So many can't or are in pain as they do. So amen to be glad you CAN stand in that line at Christmas. Blessings Angela!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, Friend!!
Joining you in prayer sis, love you.
PRAYER:
Father, we pray for those in our nation who have lost their jobs and also for my family. You promised, and we believe that You supply to the full our every need. You know our work records and what we are doing. We ask You to set before us doors of employment that no one is able to shut. We pray that we will prize Wisdom and acknowledge that You are the One who gives power to get wealth. In everything we do give us the grace to put You first, and You will direct us and crown our efforts with success. Cause us to increase in Wisdom and in Favor with You, Father, and with man, in the name of Jesus. Amen. (Employment, Prayers That Avail Much Commemorative Edition) amen amen amen
