Our last Fearless Friday for 2011 folks!
They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8 NLT

I was wondering the other day which scripture would be my 2012 scripture for the year.
The scripture that would carry me through for the year.
Reminding me of God's goodness.
His faithfulness.
They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8 NLT

I'm not saying that 2012 is going to easy.
Nor that storms will seize from coming my way.
I'm saying what Paula Slayton stated awhile back:

I am fearless and will face my foes triumphantly. I am confident that the good work that the Lord has started, He WILL complete!
I am a warrior.
I battle.
I fight the good fight of faith.
Be brave my comrades.
Be brave!!
Battle on.
Fight the good fight of faith.

Armor up!
Know I am praying for each and everyone of you.
Thank you for standing in the gap for my family and I.
Thank you for being with me on the front lines this past year.

How did it get to be Friday already? I wish a blessed New Year for you and your family! I'll check back later for prayer requests.
There are a lot of needs this week. I sit here and don't even know where to begin.....
I lift up the Turner family during their time of sorrow over the loss of their teenage daughter Julia, who fought the battle of cancer for 7 months. The funeral was this week.
I lift up my BFF Diane and her family as they bury their father, fil, grandfather tomorrow. I pray for the 'issues' they are also dealing with concerning a certain family member and the heartache they have caused.
I pray for Gail's family during this Holy Season, their first without a wife and mother, who passed away only a few short weeks.
I pray for family of the husband and father who died in a car crash a few short weeks. Their first with without him around the table, around the Christmas tree, going to Mass...
I pray for Lisa's nephew who is battling leukemia.
I pray for Paula's father who is waiting for more testing to be done in the new year concerning his health.
I pray for my young cousin who will be having some tissue removed in the new year and praying the results will not be cancer. Praying she is able to come through the operation with success since she is not even one year old.
I pray for my mother right now. Lord, You know my heart. I know You are placing upon my heart some issues that are coming. Please give my father strength to bring her to the hospital. Help me to remain strong for him and her. Help us Lord...we REALLY need You right now. She is in great pain. Give the dr.'s wisdom, show us favor upon the hospital and let them admit her..Father God, most of all, I pray for Your will to be done. amen amen amen
Amen sis, joining you in the battle.
Dear Father, I lift up Angie's mom to you and ask for relief from her pain. Please give her dad strength and wisdom and show him your way that is best to care for his wife. In Jesus name, Amen
Father, I pray your touch on each one mentioned here this day. You know the needs and ask your help and show them the hope we have in you. In His Name, Amen.
PRAYER:
To the glory of the Father I welcome you, Holy Spirit. I'm so grateful that You are my Helper as I prepare for the New Year. I humble myself before You asking for Divine Guidance. In Jesus’ name I commit myself anew to Your plans and purposes, tha t I might run the full race completing the destiny to which You have called me. I trust in You, Lord, I put my full confidence in You and Your word, and delight myself in You. Father-God, be glorified in my life throughout the coming year as never before, in Jesus name. Amen.

"New Year's Prayer"
Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord.” Lamentations 2:19a (NKJV)
It’s a new year. What is on your heart? What would you like to accomplish? What would you like to change? Have you made any New Year’s Resolutions?
Father in heaven thank You that You are GOOD. Thank You that You know each precious person reading this devotion. You planned for them to meet You here today. You created their hearts. You know their every need, their deepest desires, and their open wounds. Lord, I ask that in this new year You would fall afresh on them.
Father, You are Holy and call us to be Holy. Yet we confess that so often our hearts wander from You our speech does not glorify You and our actions do not honor You. Soften our hearts to receive the words Your sweet Spirit has to speak to us. Clothe us with humility. Take away our desire to always be right and have our own way. Help us to seek Your Word in all that we say and do. Help us to submit to Your Word allow it to penetrate those deep places in our hearts that resist change. If necessary put us through the refiner’s fire to burn off those things that keep us from walking in step with Your character.
Give us hearts that love and seek after Truth above all else. Give us wisdom and discernment to reject the lies of this world and the evil one. Guide us into all Truth through Your Living Word. Guard our hearts and keep our eyes fixed on You. Grow in us those things that will make us more like You. As we study Your Word fill us and saturate us with You!
Today, Father we surrender our thoughts our speech and our hearts. Thank You that You are Faithful and True. We trust You will do a mighty work in us and through us this year and carry it on to completion until the day we step into eternity with You. Help us to trust in You with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. Help us to acknowledge You in all our ways so that we can hear Your voice when You say“This is the way walk in it.”
Lord, we love You and thank You that You love us. May our lives be a living testimony of You.
We ask this in the powerful and mighty name of Your Son Jesus Christ our Lord and know You will do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine. Amen.
Father, I want to thank You so much for Carol and Denise who have faithfully followed along with me each and every Fearless Friday. Thank You for sending these precious sisters by my side to help me stand in the gap, to be on the front lines and before Your throne. Bless them Lord, be gracious to them and their family's and make Your face shine upon them always in Christ Jesus I pray...do for them more than they could ever ask, imagine or prayer for this 2012. amen amen amen
Happy New Year, Angela! Yes, God does work for our good - which doesn't mean it will all be good. It rains on the just and the unjust alike. But, we have the key of God's grace, love, and power to carry us through! Oh, yeah!
Oh dear Angie--I am praying for your dear mom and dad--and for those you have brought before the Lord. God is still over all--2012 will be in His hands if we just learn to relinquish and give Him our worries and cares, and remember to give Him the Glory and praise HE so much deserves for loving us. Thinking and praying for you!
