MY GOAL

The ladies and I have just finished a 40 Day Journey of Faith and Fasting at my Facebook group The Sacrificial Diet.

All of us there are on a journey on wholeness and living a healthier life style.

I shared with the ladies there that these 40 days were a time where we are set apart (consecrated) and seek God in a deeper way as we journey to be released from the 'weight' that we have carried around.

Food has been, and still tries to be a huge stronghold in my life.

That's one 'monkey on your back' that is a constant in your life.

You have to eat to survive.

When food becomes a 'drug', well you end up killing yourself with food instead of surviving.

I never did lose any weight during this 40 Day Journey of Faith and Fasting.

Well pounds wise that is.

I did lose a lot of other types of 'weight' though.

One is I've reached my goal of weight loss.

120 lbs released.

I had wanted to lose more.

I did lose more, but I keep fluctuating five pounds over the last few years.

Now that my goal weight has changed, I'm working on adding exercise.

lol...I know I know, your supposed to do that as you lose weight, not when you reach your goal.

I have exercised though, the Cinderella Work Out ( cleaning my home and yard is a work out folks).

I've added weight training now...and I'm loving it!

I just want to encourage those of you that have to lose a lot of weight....oh precious one...God did not intend for you to keep battling with the food forever, that you were destined to be like this forever...

Deep down in your heart you know this, it's just at times the belief to manifest it self, right?

Well believe!!!!

Trust in the Lord your God with all your heart, and your plans will succeed.

If your interested in learning more about intermittent fasting and The Sacrificial Diet, your more than welcome to request to join. It's only the ladies though..chick group! lol

For the men I highly recommend Fast-5 (I am also there too). Dr. Bert Herring is the Administrator there and has written an amazing e-book about the benefits of intermittent fasting..

Blessings.

Hi Angela,

It's been awhile since I've written and been here, life has been busy and interesting. Anyway, I wanted to let you know that after you pinned some pics of you on pinterest you sparked a new flame in me. I started thinking and praying about my current self(my body to be exact). I decided to try the 5 hour diet along with doing the treadmill in the morning. I'm only on day two, but I have committed myself to the whole month of August and I hope to see some bit of a change by the end of the month. I know that isn't giving myself much time, but sometimes I feel like I was never meant to lose weight so I need to see results to keep going.
How long did it take you to lose the weight?
I really just want to do it so I feel better physically(more energy) and so I feel more comfortable in my clothes. I'm not looking to be a model or get a man(already have one!), I just want to be healthy and ward off any illness before they come.
Well, I just wanted to say Thank you for posting those pics. You are always such an inspiration and joy.
I'm sorry to read about your layoff, I hope things are well for you in other respects.

Blessings,
Tiff
