They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the Lord to care for them. They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.” ~ Psalm 112:7-8 NLT

"I'm going to go see my 'homies'.
Many of you have asked me to share how The Girls Weekend turned out.
I may share the video of my mother and Nancy, a bf (best friend) dancing to Michael Jackson's song Billie Jean. Diane and I are in it too. I'm screaming...'I've been singing Billie Jean's not my son'...lol. Than I say..'I don't care, I will sing it any way I like it.'..lol
The day of the party, I had the opportunity of sharing my heart with all of the ladies that were there. I think 30 were there at that time.
I told them all about you guys!
lol...
Throughout the night Diane and I would talk about all of you to those that were there like you were just down the corner from us but couldn't make it to the party.
We are also SOOOOOOOOOOOO praying ladies for next year that God will make a way for you to attend!

I've been having girls weekends for close to 10 years now.
It's usually us sitting around the deck. Swimming, dancing, laughing (until you pee your pants..been there, done that one..lol..and still do from time to time), drinking, eating, dancing, swimming, setting our 'puppies' free weather permitting in the pool (in the evening of course, lol). You get the picture.
Well God decided He wanted something bigger. Something more amazing.
He decided to open it up to the public!
ok....lol

I want to share with you a few of the comments that were shared that evening.
You already read about the comment with the letter 'b' in it..lol
And how well behaved I was!
lol..
"I promise I will work real hard not saying the f word Dad. I'm sorry, I am going to be loud, I am not a quiet person! But I promise to behave like a lady, well as much as I can."...lol
That was me trying to calm my father's rattled nerves over The Girls Weekend event. Please pray for him...he worries so much and I need some warriors to be in agreement with me that Christ's peace and love will just touch my daddy's heart.
"I still got my clothes on."
Me again after a bf commented how it was 6:00 and I wasn't drunk.
lol......I'm giggling away here!
"She says we were good. We are allowed to come back."
Another bf's comment after I told her of course they were all invited back.
I call them my 'homies', or as the hypocrites in Jesus Christ's time would call..tax collectors, drunkards, prostitutes.
"They are deserving to hear about God's love as anyone else is."
My answer when a bf thought maybe I should have a Girls Weekend separated from the Open House's with The Yard Sale Divas.
"It's difficult allowing yourself to be open for judgement."
A comment I made when talking to another bf on the phone.
My spirit broke down a bit when I made that comment. My heart is doing it again as I type this out.
I praise God that He is my Judge.
He is working on the part of me being me and not worrying about what other's opinions are of me, or my family, my life, my home...and my 'homies'!
God will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
I do pray my precious sisters in the Lord that we will gather together for a Girls Weekend. That God will make a way.
Before I finish off I want to thank all of you, my precious subscribers, your prayers, support, love and encouragement that gave me the inspiration to open myself up and be me that weekend.
I really wish you could have seen what I had on..LOL. I really was so diva ish!
"Once I opened my mouth, you could see the change in their eyes."
My comment to Randy when I was sharing about how when people first met me that day (in my oh so amazing diva ish dress..lol) they weren't too sure what to make of me...lol.
Once I started to speak, it was like they thought,'oh, she's not
hoity-toity
Blessings.
On Sunday, Sabrina from Fabulous Boutique came by to visit Diane and I, bringing a bouquet of flowers for our Grand Opening...we ended up having some tea and just talkin about the Lover of our soul!!
Ciao..
p.s...Shaneah is 16 today..give her a shout out!!

Happy birthday to Shaneah!
Reading your post gives me a holy jealousy. I wish I could have been there for the girls weekend! Sounds like everyone had a wonderful time. :)
The other day one of my blog readers emailed me asking for prayers. Her husband isn't Catholic and for a long time she was away from the faith, so they did not get married in the church. Now that's she's "come back" she wants to get her marriage recognized by the Church and return to the sacraments. It's a complicated situation, part being that the husband still isn't Catholic and doesn't see the need. Could you all pray with me for her? Thanks! (Sorry for the long post...)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANEAH!!!
Well, wouldn't that be amazing! Have a blog friends ladies night or day or whatever. Such fun.
I will pray for your daddy's fears. And more.
Love you!
Father I pray for Carol's blogger and a softening of the husband's heart to listen to your voice. I pray that you will work this situation out according to your will. In His name, Amen
Father God I join Carol in agreement over this precious woman and her husband. Your Word does not return to You void but accomplishes what it is sent out to do. I glorify Your Name and give You all praise and honor. What You have done for Randy and I, You are more than willing to do for another. I pray as You touched Randy and led him to be baptized in the Catholic Church, You can do the same for this woman's husband. I giggled Lord when I read the prayer request since I KNOW what this woman is going through...for I was in the same place as her, and here Randy and I are now, not only is he baptized, but our marriage has been blessed. That is YOU!!! In Jesus Christ's Name we pray..amen amen amen
Father, I lift up both my precious Carol's to Your throne where they are able to receive grace and mercy in their times of need.Thank You for my fearful prayer warriors that You have surrounded me. I also lift up Denise Father, for her faithfulness and fearlessness to stand in the gap for all of us.Father, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Your will in our lives, our homes, our family's, our surroundings, in Christ's Name we pray. amen amen amen
