THE 13 MONTH WEIGHT GOAL

Photobucket

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

Well I just found my tape measure.

hmmmmmmmmm...hoarding tendencies of keeping so much stuff then can't find anything.

Thank God for SOD. Simplify. Organize. Declutter.

And sewing a button on my son's pants and finding the measuring tape there..lol. All this time. There it was..Go figure!~

Since leaving Walmart in March of last year and not returning back till November ( for the third time, I know, I know..gotta love Walmart), I gained 15 pounds.

I grew 4 dress sizes!~

Talk about a shocker.

Since this journey began six years ago with intermittent fasting, I have never gained that much.

Sure a pound  or two here and there, but that is normal and within a day or two, body is right back on track.

When I left Walmart, I was a size 4. These pants fit comfortably.

I can't get them past my knees.

Seriously.

I'm a size 8 right now.

Some of you will say I have gained weight because I quit smoking.

I've actually lost weight since I quit smoking..lol.

I figured out that the 'inactivity' is what had the weight creeping in, added to me stopping before the 'finish line' to eat a little too much.

So, this journey of whole and healthy as I've been mentioning on Face Book since the beginning the New Year has started.

I have given myself 13 month goal to be completely set free from the last of this weight that does not belong to this body..this vessel of God's.

2 pounds a month. Talk about doable! Talk about not making some grande goals to sabotage the success.

Slow and steady.

It will be done with intermittent fasting. Fast-5 Face Book group cheering me on, especially the closed group.

Walking.....

And Walmart of course. I tell everyone.."I joined a gym and they pay me." ...after they ask what gym..I tell them.

WALMART...gotta love it!~

lol..I do have to love it, I have to make that choice folks..each and every day sometimes...

The Walmart child still likes to throw a temper tantrum every now and than..''I don't want to be there, I don't want to work there, I don't want to work period. Why do I have to work..waaaaaaaaa waaaaa"..

What a whiner...getting on my nerves..LOL.

Blessings.

Hi Angela!! 15 pounds or not, I think you look fabulous. I could only dream of only having that to lose. You really should tell me more about the facebook group though! Hope you are doing well, I am hoping to get back into the blogging world again now :-)

God's blessings to you!

It's definitely doable! But, isn't size 4 to size 8 only two sizes? 4-6-8 I think that's the sizes. Doesn't sound as bad that way! :-) You're my heroine, you know. I've been away from reading so long. Need to get back to the fast-five group, too.

Oh congrats on the weight loss and on quitting smoking! Two very challenging undertakings! I always lose weight when I'm working, it's when I'm home with the kids all day that really takes a toll on my waist line. I go back to work this March (I work in medical) and I'm worried about my physical state, I've just really let myself go this winter. Once I start working, it will come off and I can visit the indoor pool when I head into town. Anyway, congrats and just keep working at it, you look fantastic!
