A TIMELY MESSAGE

Sometimes you just get so caught off guard that you end up falling in the pit.

Than a timely message comes your way and puts everything back into prospective and you can get out of the pit, get back in the seat and start covering up the hole  that you were laying in just a few minutes before...

Thank you Denise for truly being my angel in an earthly body..lol.Someone who is always by my side, quietly praying, defending my spirit from the attacks of the evil one by messages just like this one I am going to share here.

I know there are a few of you right now that needs this message too..

Blessings.

Endure Hardness

"You therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ."
2 Timothy 2:3

There is no "ifs" about it. Hard times are going to come in the life of every believer. There will be times when circumstances will seem dark, times when you face seemingly impossible obstacles, times when defeat seems inevitable.

In 2 Timothy 2:3, the Apostle Paul didn't tell Timothy, "If hard times come, endure them." He simply said, "Endure hardness."

Some Christians become confused when those times come. "What's happening here?" they cry. "I thought Jesus redeemed me from the curse!"

He did, but you can rest assured, Satan will challenge that redemption. He will try his best to steal it from you by pulling you off your walk of faith. Jesus warned us about that in the parable of the sower in Mark 4:14-17. He said, "Satan comes immediately, and takes away the words that was sown in their hearts...."

Satan will not sit idly by while you sail through life, effortlessly believing the Word of God. He'll pressure you with the hard times. He'll attack you with sickness or lack, then he'll lie to you and tell you that God doesn't care. He'll try to convince you that God is not going to answer your prayer this time. He'll attempt to talk you into believing there's no way out and that you will end up a miserable failure.

When those hard times come, don't cave in to the pressure. Don't give up. Stand on the Word and endure hardness like a good soldier until victory comes.

Speak the Word
I endure hard times as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. I stand firm for God has given me the victory.

Living in Your Dreams

"Who is the man who fears The LORD? He will instruct him in the way he
should choose. His soul will abide in prosperity, and his descendants will
inherit the land."
Psalm 25:12-13, New American Standard

One of the the things I most appreciate about God's love for us is that He expresses it in very practical ways. He doesn't just give us flowery words and warm feelings while leaving us to fend for ourselves in the natural affairs of life. In His great love, He supplies all our needs (Philippians 4:19) - spirit, soul and body.

He doesn't give us just barely enough to get by, either. He blesses us so liberally that if we walk with Him long enough, we eventually find ourselves surrounded by more wonderful things than we can imagine.

One translation of Psalm 25:13 says the person who reverences The LORD shall "lodge in goodness." I can tell you from personal experience, that's a wonderful place to live! It's thrilling to dwell every day in the manifestation of the goodness of The LORD. It's almost like living in a dream!

The home I enjoy today is a testimony of that. It is literally my dream house. It is such a demonstration to me of God's love that almost every time I walk into it, I feel like shouting and dancing a little! It seems almost too good to be true. One day, just as the construction on it was being finished, I walked around it and thought, This is so wonderful, I feel like I'm in a dream. Suddenly, I realized that was scriptural. Psalm 126 says:

When The LORD brought back the captive ones of Zion, we were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter and our tongue with joyful shouting; then they said
among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them." The LORD has done great
things for us; we are glad (verses 1-3, New American Standard).

God has always loved His people so much that He wanted them to walk in their dreams. That's what he wanted for the Israelites. That's what He wants for me, and that's what He wants for you.

Granted, the place you live right now and the circumstances that surround you may not yet be what you've dreamed of, but don't let that discourage you. Just keep remembering it's not your final destination. God always has something better in store for you.

As you keep trusting and obeying Him, He'll see to it that you graduate from one good dwelling place to another until eventually you, too, will be surrounded by the practical manifestations of His love.  You will be lodging in His goodness and living in your dreams.
